Our Executive

Chief Executive Officer – Marc Lema

​

Marc has over 40 years' experience working with people with disabilities and is Cam Can’s CEO.   Marc started his career as a Social Trainer working in large disability institutions in Western Australia.  He subsequently held positions at the Disability Services Commission (DSC) including Senior Social Trainer, Local Area Coordinator, management roles and spent time as the Principal Advisor to the Minister for Disability Services. With such solid experience, and wanting to make a difference to people’s lives, Marc left DSC in 2011 and established Cam Can with Anthea.

Marc’s passion to promote the rights of vulnerable people is unwavering.  It is this, together with his personal experience of raising a family member with a disability, that drives Marc’s commitment to bring about good outcomes for all people.

When Marc is not working, he is a keen Liverpool supporter and enjoys making the most of every opportunity to spend time with his family and friends.

Managing Director

Stephen Psaila-Savona

Stephen joined Cam Can in 2021.  Before that, he was employed in the Western Australian public sector for 27 years where he held management and executive positions at WorkCover WA, the Health and Disability Services Complaints Office; the Public Sector Commission; the Department of the Premier and Cabinet; and the Disability Services Commission.  Stephen is also a Board member for Catholic Homes, an aged care provider.  Stephen holds a Bachelor of Psychology; a Diploma in Education; a Graduate Diploma in Business; and an Executive Masters in Public Administration. Stephen is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of Leadership Western Australia.

Stephen’s career and personal drive has always been driven by improving quality of services for vulnerable people including in disability, health, mental health, workers’ compensation and aged care. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, eating, exercising, eating more, exercising more.

Director, Operations (Country):

John Thomson

John has more than 25 years’ experience working across human services and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, a Graduate Diploma in Social Science, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management.  John started his career as a Support Coordinator, working alongside people to co-design/implement individualised supports. John then joined the Australian Red Cross, developing and implementing regionally based community services/programs and taking a keen interest in International Humanitarian Law. John started with government in 1998, holding senior positions with the Department of Housing, Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Disability Services Commission and Department for Communities where he led the implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in WA.  He joined Cam Can in 2020.

John is an active member of his local soccer and basketball clubs and takes every opportunity to support and participate in community events. John enjoys spending time mountain biking, bushwalking and exploring the South coast with his wife and children.

Director, Operations (Metro):

Alison Braid

Alison is a country girl at heart!  She grew up in Esperance and following her tertiary education and some travelling around the globe, spent most of her career in the Wheatbelt, living in Narrogin and working around the region.  She left the Wheatbelt in 2014 and relocated to the Goldfields, living in Kalgoorlie but spending time in Leonora/Laverton and the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.  Alison left Kalgoorlie in 2016 and has been living in the South-West since then, joining Cam Can in July 2020.   Alison has worked in the human services area throughout her 26-year career, predominantly in the public service and in child protection.  Alison’s core values centre around kindness and compassion and building trust and good working relationships with everyone.

Alison enjoys the outdoor life, and ‘wanders out yonder’ with her family and two beloved dogs whenever she can.  One of Alison’s passions is open water swimming but this has been somewhat curtailed with the increased sightings of big mammals of the ocean!!  Alison enjoys pilates and her daily walks with her dogs as well as exploring the hidden jewels of the South West.

Administration Manager – Rebecca White

​

Rebecca has been involved with Cam Can since 2012 and has deep family experience supporting people with disabilities.  With a background of similar office roles in Real Estate and Customs, Rebecca brings a wide range of skills and experience to ensure Cam Can’s administrative operations run smoothly and efficiently.  Rebecca has a strong background in administration, reception, human resources, workers’ compensation, procurement and events management.  Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with family and friends, and raising one sensible and one ‘spirited’ daughter.
