I Live in....

Some people know exactly how they want to live but need support built around them to make it happen. Maybe that’s a house with a close friend or a home entirely your own with helpers coming and going as needed.
Cam Can’s Individualised Living Options Perth service exists for exactly this: designing a living arrangement from the ground up, around one person, rather than fitting that person into a ready-made model. If you’ve outgrown shared or group settings and want a home life built specifically for you, this is where we start.
Individualised Living Options is an NDIS home and living support built on a simple idea: your living arrangement should be designed around you, not the other way around. Instead of joining an existing household or facility, ILO starts with a blank page. It asks who you want to live with, if anyone, what kind of support gets you through your day, and what a good life at home actually looks like from your point of view.
Cam Can guides Members through the full ILO journey, from the early planning and design stage through to the day-to-day supports, keeping an arrangement running well. We’ve spent years building this kind of ILO support, so we know how to turn a vague idea of “somewhere better to live” into a concrete, funded, workable plan.
There is no single template for our Members. We help you explore, co-design, and establish the specific arrangement that reflects your vision for home:
Living in the private home of an individual or family who offers daily assistance, natural companionship, and household support while respecting your personal autonomy.
Living in a rented or owned property with housemates or friends who do not require disability support and who provide agreed informal support in return for reduced rent or a stipend.
Residing independently in your own apartment or house backed by a custom combination of drop-in Support Workers, emergency on-call contact, and smart assistive technologies.
A dedicated Support Worker lives on-site in a separate room or unit, providing daily assistance while respecting your privacy and independence.
An ILO plan is only as good as the thinking that goes into it, so our support starts well before anyone moves anywhere.
Carefully selecting and matching host families, housemates, or co-residents who share your interests, lifestyle, communication style, and values.
Structuring a seamless mix of paid Support Workers alongside natural informal support from friends and family to create a genuine home environment.
One-on-one coaching to help you master cooking, grocery budgeting, home maintenance, and decision-making, increasing your confidence over time.
Customised support for daily routines, personal care, and medication reminders delivered on your terms and schedule, not a set provider roster.
Building genuine social links, attending local Perth events, pursuing work or study, and developing natural community connections where you live.
An ILO arrangement done well reshapes far more than just where you sleep at night:
You choose where you live, who you live with, and how you receive support from the very beginning.
Your support package is designed around your goals, preferences, and needs, rather than following a standard model.
Your chosen relationships are supported and strengthened, whether they involve a host, housemate, friends, or family.
Your support structure adapts seamlessly as your personal goals, confidence, needs, or life circumstances change over time.
Your loved ones can feel reassured knowing your plan is genuinely built around you rather than shaped by availability.
Your long-term independence can grow confidently because your living arrangement is designed around your needs from day one.
Individualised living options NDIS funding is aimed at Members ready to move toward a more independent, self-directed living arrangement, and whose needs call for something more tailored than a shared or group setting.

Call, email, or send us your details so we can understand your situation and what you’re hoping for.
We’ll look at your NDIS plan and current living setup, and talk openly about what ILO could mean for you.
Together we work through the exploration and design stage, building the Service Proposal the NDIA needs to see.
Whether it’s a host, housemates, or in-home Support Workers, we match based on personality and lifestyle, not convenience.
We stay close through the transition and keep checking in as your needs and confidence develop.
ILO focuses on bespoke, highly flexible living setups (such as host families, housemates, or living alone) that blend informal and paid support. SIL (Supported Independent Living) is focused on rostered 24/7 or continuous support worker coverage, typically in shared homes.
No. NDIS funding for ILO covers the design, matching, and delivery of support services. You remain responsible for standard living expenses like rent, utilities, food, and home maintenance.
ILO is funded in two distinct stages: Stage 1 (Exploration and Design) funds the research and planning of your ideal model. Stage 2 (Implementation) funds the ongoing support, co-residency/host payments, and coordination over your plan duration.
Timelines depend on whether you have Stage 1 funding, housing availability, and the right living match. Cam Can works closely with you to make the setup as efficient and seamless as possible.
Yes. If you wish to transition from a traditional SIL group home into a more flexible, independent living arrangement, you can request NDIS funding for ILO Exploration and Design with support from your Support Coordinator and provider.
