Working with Us

CAM CAN provides individualised support to people. Coordinators recruit carefully to find people who are likely to be a good ‘match’ with a person i.e. people who share similar interests, who live reasonably close, have the relevant skills or who know the local community of the person requiring support.

Support workers who work with our organisation help people to build friendships, develop skills and become active within their community.

CAM CAN is seeking self-motivated people to provide support to people who have a disability living in the community in the Perth Metropolitan, Lower South West, Bunbury, Great Southern and Goldfields regions of Western Australia.

Work is on a casual but regular basis.

There are several steps you can take in preparation for your role as a Disability Support Worker:

  • Ensure you have a current National Police Clearance and current driver’s license. If you will be working with children under 18 years of age you will require a current Working With Children Check. Please ensure you declare on your application for a National Police Clearance that you will be working with vulnerable people.
  • To comply with the NDIS “Code of Conduct” it is now a requirement that all support workers across the Disability Sector complete a training module titled: Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality Safety and You”.

This module is an interactive online course that explains the obligations of workers under the NDIS Code of Conduct – from the perspective of NDIS participants. It was developed in consultation with the sector, including NDIS providers and people with a disability.

The module is free and will take 60-90mins to complete, Once completed, please download a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is required as a pre requisite for employment at Cam Can.
